Whenever I need to quickly shift the energy of a space, I spray this generously into the surrounding air. The GOLDA Hiba Wood Spray is more than a purifying atmosphere mist. It also works as an odor eliminator, linen refresher, bug repellant, and aromatic booster for uplifting and resetting your environment.

What makes this mist so effective is its key ingredient: aromatic oil distilled from premium Japanese Aomori Hiba wood. The scent is smoky, grounding, and energizing, reminiscent of cedar but more refined. Hiba is one of the most revered trees in Japan and takes up to 300 years to grow. Studies have shown that Hinokitiol, a compound only found in Aomori-grown Hiba (not to be confused with Hinoki), has potent antimicrobial, germicidal, insect-repellent, and deodorizing properties.

This mist is the creation of Japanese qi therapy practitioner Keiko Matsuo. Along with her husband, artist Tsugu Wada, she runs Studio Cue, a holistic healing space and creative practice located in the hills of Topanga Canyon. It is there that they bottle this signature spray as part of their GOLDA line.
