This is the first piece of Austrian fluorite I have ever offered. Rieding Lake in Austria’s Lungau/Salzburg region is a renowned alpine locality for collecting high-quality fluorite. The fluorite on this specimen is a soft greenish minty aqua, forming in translucent, cubic crystals across a pale limestone matrix. There is a gentle variation in tone, with some areas appearing more milky and others catching light with a subtle clarity.

About the Mineral: Fluorite
