About this Particular Crystal

A great little piece of hemimorphite. Kelly Mine is best known for its exceptional smithsonite, but this famous New Mexico locality has also produced beautiful specimens of secondary zinc minerals, including hemimorphite. This piece has a rich, saturated robin’s-egg blue color, with beautiful banding visible along the side. It would be a lovely stone to use in meditation, especially placed on the throat. Hemimorphite never fails to make me smile.
