About this Particular Crystal

This specimen is made up of peachy-colored calcite spheres deposited on a dark host matrix, creating beautiful contrast. It is absolutely adorable. One thing I want to call out is that the dealer’s mineral putty has unfortunately left some residue on the backside of the host rock, but it does not affect the display of the crystal. It comes from the collection of South African mineral collectors Ashley and Gail Diack. N’Chwaning III is part of the Kalahari Manganese Field, one of the world’s great manganese deposits and a remarkable source of beautiful collector minerals.

About the Mineral: Calcite
