About this Particular Crystal

One of my favorite pieces in my personal collection is a similar combination of Carrara marble and clear quartz. When I came across this specimen in Tucson, I was excited to find another for someone else to enjoy as much as I do.

This rare Italian quartz specimen features a striking contrast between warm-toned Carrara marble and a single, perfectly terminated clear quartz crystal growing from its surface. The marble is naturally textured with golden ochre mineralization and soft, earthy veining, giving it a sculptural and grounded presence.

Carrara marble, quarried in the Apuan Alps of northern Tuscany, is composed mainly of calcite and is revered for its purity, luminosity, and artistic legacy.
