This pair of orange selenite crystals is a departure from the usual clear selenite. Selenite is a variety of gypsum, and natural iron oxide or clay inclusions give these slender crystals their warm orange color. The result is a more grounding expression of selenite that retains the aligning and clarifying qualities associated with its clear counterpart, with a golden twist. About the Mineral: Selenite

Selenite is the transparent, crystalline variety of gypsum. It forms when calcium-rich water evaporates or through low-temperature hydrothermal processes. As the water evaporates or conditions change, dissolved calcium sulfate crystallizes into luminous crystals. Selenite comes in a variety of forms and colors and can be found in locales all over the world.

Named after Selene, the ancient Greek goddess of the Moon, it carries like its namesake a potent, divine energy. In the metaphysical world, it is regarded as one of the highest-vibration stones and is among the most classic crystals for energetic purification. It is a clearing stone, bringing more spiritual light into the auric field. Especially activating for the crown and higher chakras, it clears constricting energetic blockages that prevent connection with your highest self. Working with selenite restores this dialogue, creating a direct telepathic line of communication with Source and activating your intuitive gifts and ability to download higher wisdom.

Selenite has a consistently high, clear vibration. Rather than absorbing or retaining dense energy, it allows energy to move through and disperse naturally.
