RICHARD AVEDON CATALOGUE, POSTER, AND PRINTS, c. 1970

$100.00

This rare Richard Avedon exhibition portfolio was produced for his 1970 portrait show at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Designed by Marvin Israel, the portfolio reflects the refined minimalism and modernist sensibility that shaped both Avedon’s photography and Israel’s design work.

The set includes a printed catalogue, ten gravure-printed portrait images in various sizes, and a folded exhibition poster. All items are housed in the original silver envelope-style folder. The gravure prints highlight Avedon’s distinctive black and white portraiture, capturing his subjects with sharp emotional presence and compositional elegance.

The silver folder shows some wear, including creasing and crushing along the folds, and a slightly dulled surface. However, the contents remain in excellent condition. This is a highly collectible piece for those interested in twentieth-century photography, modern design, or the legacy of Richard Avedon.
