About this Particular Stone

I go to one gem show that has a lot of really unappealing stuff but of course there are some wonderful finds tucked in. There is one dealer I always seek out because his father was in the gem business and he tends to have a lot of older stock. He has a small wooden display cabinet and glistening in the baking sun was this blue apatite. He told me his father had purchased it in Tanzania in the 1970s. The gemmy quality and electric blue color of this piece is unlike any other blue apatite I have come across. Pure magic! I found myself very drawn to blue apatite this show.
